30 West Fit’s growth continues with expanded space, more trainers

When Dominic Anastasio opened 30 West Fit, he was a solo personal trainer who started with 10 appointments a week. Fast forward to today. 30 West Fit has expanded into a new space in the same building at 30 W. Rahn Rd. in Kettering, but in a spot that doubles the size of his original location.

In addition to the expanded location, 30 West Fit’s team continues to grow, and there are now six trainers, including Centerville native Chase Meade, who brought his clients from Go the Distance to merge with 30 West Fit.

An Oakwood High School graduate, Dominic originally planned to pursue a career as a health and physical education teacher. Then he earned a degree in exercise science at Sinclair Community College and contemplated a role working for a fitness center or perhaps a health care facility as a trainer. Eventually, the former physique competitor realized that he wanted to carve his own niche guiding clients with their fitness and nutrition goals, which led to the launch of 30 West Fit in 2015.

“Securing a loan, leasing the space, buying the equipment and opening for business was a leap of faith, and it was scary because the future is uncertain, but this is my passion and I believed this would be a success,” Dominic said. “It is exciting to expand. We had outgrown the old space, and in this new location we have more equipment and more space for functional and sports training.”

Look for 30 West Fit to add more group classes this year, Dominic says.

Workouts at 30 West Fit are 30 minutes and designed to generate maximum results in minimal time. Each 30-minute training session incorporates strength training, high intensity cardio, flexibility and core customized to the client’s personal goals. Dominic takes the same approach with nutrition planning, developing a sustainable meal plan that helps support the overall wellness objectives.
