When she attended graduate school to pursue a career in clinical counseling, Aimee J. Minda envisioned a time when she would comfort people, listening to them and guiding them through challenges. The lifelong Centerville resident has thrived in a vocation where she implements her gift of putting people at ease, only in a different way than she originally planned. Aimee applies her love for people by helping buyers and sellers alike as an award-winning Realtor with Keller Williams Advantage Real Estate. The wife of an Army veteran and the mother to five children, Aimee was recently selected as one of the Dayton Area Board of Realtors’ Top 5 Under 40.
“The adage that buying or selling a home is one of the most important transactions in a person’s lifetime is said for a reason. The process can be stressful and intimidating,” Aimee says. “I’ve felt a genuine interest in listening to and communicating with people all of my life. It’s why I originally studied counseling. Now, as Realtor, I use that compassion and communication to take pressure off my clients and make them feel informed, so they can make clear and concise decisions from the beginning of the process all the way through the closing.”
Aimee knows first-hand about the daunting task of preparing a home for sale and finding the ideal new destination at the right price and completed in a timely manner. A Dayton Christian High School graduate, Aimee earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational management and marketing from Nyack College in New York before attending graduate school for professional clinical counseling at Liberty University. Her career path led to real estate, and in seven years she has earned Dayton Area Board of Realtors Sales Leaders Club status from 2015 to 2017 as well as Ohio Association of Realtors President’s Sales Club recognition in those same years. She has also gained SRS (Seller Representative Specialist), and MRP (Military Relocation Professional) designations.
Aimee attributes her success in the real estate field to trust cultivated by her values that revolve around listening, communication, sincerity, integrity and reliability.
“The most meaningful compliment I receive from people I represent is that I treat them like they are my only client,” Aimee says. “This is not something that happens every day in my clients’ lives, but it is something that is part of my daily world. A significant percentage of new clients originate from people that I know, and those I have helped buy or sell a home.”
The real estate market across Dayton and nationwide is competitive. The inventory of homes is low because the demand is high. This is why it is important that a Realtor understand how to effectively use technology and maintain the traits that never become outdated, which are consistent communication, answering questions in an understandable way and demonstrating genuine interest in a client’s feelings along with having in-depth knowledge of the market.
“I focus on selling my listings, and not just placing a sign in the yard and putting it in the MLS. I am proactive with marketing your home and actively finding buyers,” Aimee says. “I take the time to determine what your home is worth and offer a forthright opinion about pricing based on information and research, and improvements that are needed to make sure your home stands out from the competition.”
“When helping buyers, I use the same proactive approach of community and neighborhood knowledge, and using research, technology and active communication to find a home that directly meets your preferences while negotiating the best deal possible,” Aimee adds.
Listening, explaining details in an easily understood manner and consistent communication all contribute to making the home buying and home selling process as smooth as possible. Aimee believes. The myriad of reviews on her Facebook page illustrate her thorough and genuine approach from start to finish in the home buying or home selling process.
“We are first time home buyers, and I am someone who asks a lot of questions. No matter what time of day, or what Aimee had going on, she would always respond within the hour, usually right away. She was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had,” said Katie Brown, a client Aimee worked with in 2017. “She had never worked with our lender before and was very good at communicating with them to make sure everything went smoothly. We had a great experience with her and next time we are looking to sell or buy we will definitely call her.”
